Handwritten icon of Saint Nicholas. Written in the Byzantine tradition, on a primed linden board with end veneers. The work is done in the egg tempera technique, the background and nimbus are gilded with gold leaf. The size of the icon is 12 x 15 cm (4.7 x 5.9 inches), the thickness of the board is 2.5 cm (1 inch). The cost of the icon is $220, including shipping!
